> the damage of inequalities

The main subjects of the Hierocodic bas-reliefs are the many serious problems related to wars (low or high intensity), migration, climate change, public health and the ageing of the population, irrational exploitation of resources, and deprivation of rights. That is to say, problems connected to our unfair way of conceiving life, kept constantly away from what should be truly important: equality (whatever it means, as the debate on the subject remains strong).

These tragic distortions are often due to capitalism, which I prefer to call “patriarchal greed”, because “capitalism” is a technical term and therefore does not imply responsibility, whereas the responsibilities for these wrong situations deep down (and in some cases as old as humankind, although they have shown up differently throughout history) are always easily identifiable and personal. If women someday take power for an extended period of time and behave in the same way, someone on my behalf will speak unflinchingly of matriarchal greed.

The coexistence of these wrongs makes them even more dramatic, and the only perspective with which it is possible to face them is that of intersectionality, not to leave anyone behind but to give everyone dignity and value, not to forget the wrongs of the past (starting with those caused by colonialism) but to bring forward a radical idea of society and believe it is achievable (the traditional anti-capitalist perspective is not sufficient for all this).
