> Predefined shapes

The use of predetermined forms refers to the homologation and standardization of objects, behaviours, and ideas typical of our society, which is both individualistic and prone to imitation. It also refers to computer code, the use of which requires a rigorous and standardized programming writing in all its parts, characterized by the repeated use of certain graphic symbols and spacing. The algorithms themselves are systematic calculation procedures consisting of a finite sequence of operations.

The fact that the basic shapes of the bas-reliefs are those of the rectangular and round labels that can be purchased in stationery shops, that is, the fact that they reproduce cataloguing tools, recalls the now unavoidable practice of associating micro-information with all the content placed on the Web or with the individuals interacting with it (e.g. user ID and password), with everything involved in a blockchain or that has to be created using artificial intelligence software, and finally with the subjects and actions that in real life are intercepted by sensors, cameras and smart objects (including toys, appliances, and televisions). All this is aimed to optimize the organization and search for the contents themselves (think of the tags we use on websites and social media pages), to create new ones from scratch, to validate smart contracts, to improve the functionality of individual technologies, but also for commercial or population control purposes.
