At least in Italy, the only mass demonstrations where there are no disturbances or ambulances, and therefore where the police do not have much to do, are the Pride, the colorful political parties more commonly known as Gay Pride. All people must learn from the Pride how to stand in the streets and claim their rights without using violence.
On the ground no cobblestones, broken glass, fire hydrants or road signs torn. Just confetti, sparklers and condom sachets to remind us that precautions must never go out of fashion. Who still does? Who reminds us that there are sexually transmitted diseases?
Despite the ignoble harassment they face every day from political and religious leaders and ordinary people, the LGBTQIA+ community remains peaceful and cheerful, respectful and open to all.
